Postcards for Hospitals
Simply put, thousands of people are currently hospitalized because of COVID-19 around the country (and throughout the world). They are in isolation. They are being cared for by thousands of healthcare workers.
What patients and those healthcare workers need now, more than ever, is to see, hear, and feel our love and support. No one should feel alone at this time. And no one has to.
Here’s what you can do:
Send a digital postcard from wherever you are.
What’s a digital postcard? It can be a video (one minute or less) you shoot with your phone, an audio recording, or a photo with a written message or piece of art you created. Dance a dance, sing a song, read an inspiring poem. Do whatever feels right to show your love and support to COVID-19 patients and healthcare workers.
Unsure where to begin? Start with: We love you. We appreciate you. We are with you. Give your first name and location (Astoria, Queens; Barcelona, Spain, etc.).
Submit or upload your digital postcard to postcards4 hospitals via email, a direct message on Instagram or Twitter, or as a post to the Facebook page. Tag with #postcards4hospitals. These digital postcards will appear on this page, so that hospitals may easily access them and share them.
There is still a lot we don’t know about the novel coronavirus and COVID-19. What we do know is that the virus can remain on surfaces, so digital postcards are ideal, and even more so as hospitals are increasingly using tablets and other digital devices.
Thank you, stay safe, and be well,
Carey
